On the day they headed home, we went out to the Sunnyside Cafe for breakfast - Grandad's new favorite place (it was our 3rd visit!!). Had a wonderful breakfast and then had a great long walk to get rid of all those pancakes that were just consumed!
We got home and for the remainder of the day, Granny and Grandad had the rest of the time to play with Conor. I was able to capture a few pictures and video before they headed off. Of course, Conor had to wear a very special outfit given by Fergus and Michelle - had to save that one for the last day:
We headed off to the airport and had to say good bye. Thank you so much for coming over!! We had such a wonderful time and are so glad you were able to spend such quality time with Conor. He loves and misses you both so much! He is already lonely in the back seat! :) Looking forward to seeing you all in March!! xx

Deefield Day Trip
We wanted to spend our last full day with Granny and Grandad out in the fresh air and fantastic foliage. What better place to experience that than Deerfield, MA. We headed out early to our first destination: Sugarloaf Mountain. I was hoping to take some pictures of the wonderful view but it was very cloudy and you really couldn't see anything. We had a nice picnic on the top but by the time we were all finished, we were all ready to go - it was getting chilly!!
We did, however, go for a lovely walk thru Historic Deerfield. It was a pretty brisk day but still nice to walk around. Our little guy got a great view via Daddy:
And we had to take some pictures of this amazing house - the house itself was very nice but their harvest presentation was like nothing I have ever seen before - just stunning!
It was the last full day Granny and Grandad Brennan were here so we are glad we were able to see some classic New England areas and foliage before it was too late!
Later on that night, Auntie Nuala came over for dinner and we had the chance to take some group pictures of all of us. It was a great night filled with great laughs, as always!!

Pumpkin Festival - Keene, NH 10/22/11
Eddy and Betty jetted off to Washington, DC for a few days and while they were away, we went up to Keene, NH for their annual Pumpkin Festival. This was the first time we went up but it definitely won't be the last. It was such a fun day and the pumpkins were amazing!! Here are a few:
At the center of the town, they have a huge tower of pumpkins all carved by everyone in the town - quite an amazing sight!
We ran into some old favorites from our past:
We got to see some pumpkin bowling:
And of course, we got plenty of pictures of our very own little pumpkin!
Great day had by all - already looking forward to next year when he's able to participate in the costume parade with the other kiddos! :)
It was as if they new he was coming!

Applefest at Mt. Wachusett
On Saturday, the 15th, we drove up to Mt. Wachusett for their annual harvest festival. It was nice to walk around and be out in the fresh fall air.
Conor was all excited and ready to go, complete with bottle:
They had a "largest pumpkin" contest and we got some pictures of us with them:
All in all, a very fun day, once it decided not to rain on us! Luckily it was only a passing shower and then the sun shone brightly on us for the remainder of the day!

Our miracle babies!
On Thursday the 13th, my friend Lauren came over to visit with her adorable son, Mason. We were so glad they were able to make some time with us on their trip up from Texas. We loved having you over and we are very much looking forward to next summer!

Granny & Grandad Brennan are here!!!
On October 12th, Eddy and Betty Brennan arrived from Ireland and stayed with us for 2 weeks. We have had an amazing time with them so far! Conor is completely enamored by the both of them - he went to them as if he's know him all his 10 month existence! :)
The first couple of days, we just hung around the house and played:
Poor Grandad.... it seems like all our pictures are with Granny.... well, Granny did like to play with him a lot! :)

As you can see, Conor has found his favorite position with his favorite person :)

Apple Picking at Parlee Farms
So today, Oct 8, 2011, it was sunny and 78 degrees - just an absolutely stunning day for early October. Had the pleasure of going apple picking with our peeps, Char and Laurie at Parlee Farms in Tyngsboro, MA. Absolutely adorable place - hay rides, petting zoo, pumpkins, cider donuts (scrumptious!) - just an all around great place. We opted to not take the stroller so we broke out the Bjorn for Conor and he loved it!!
Here are some pictures from our day:

Play Date with the Sullivan Twins! 10/5/2011
One of my friends from NDA had twins earlier this year and we decided to get together for a play date. Conor had a wonderful time with Quinn and Claire (a potential romance budding there....) and it was great to catch up with Kate after all these years. Here are some great pictures and video of our day:
And here's a video of them all chatting.... well, with Claire doing the majority of the talking! lol

Conor doing his impression of planking????
Look at her face - I could just stare at Claire all day!

5 year Wooden Anniversay gift
Ok, so let me back up a few steps. Oct 6, 2011 was our 5 year wedding anniversary - the traditional gift is wood. So I thought long and hard about what to get my hubby.... while I was thinking, I was posing our little man for pictures.... and with a stroke of luck, captured this adorable little smile. And then I also figured out Dex's gift - this picture in a wooden frame :) Genius!
Hubby gave me an extraordinary gift - a beautiful necklace from the Hawaiian jewlery store we got a pendent while on our honeymoon. Here's a pic:
A beauiful pendent that has a Hawaiian wood inlay - just lovely! We celebrated the night by going to one of our favorite restaurants, Grille 23. Grandma Patty came over to watch the wee lad. It was our first night out together without our boy - although he was missed, it was kind of nice to have dinner that took more than 10 minutes to eat and sans spit up! :)
Happy Anniversary, babe. Love you, forever and always xoxox
